What it is
Ztalk.ai is a desktop application that translates speech during a video call, in both directions, while the call is happening. It installs a virtual audio driver on macOS or Windows; you then select Ztalk as the microphone and speaker inside whatever conferencing tool you already use, so the translation sits between you and the call rather than inside any one platform.
That design is the reason it lists Zoom and Google Meet as compatible without being an app inside either of them: to the conferencing tool, Ztalk is simply an audio device. It is a paid desktop product with a free tier, not a browser extension or an API.
Who it's for

How it works
The vendor describes four steps: install the application and its virtual audio driver, choose an input and an output language, select Ztalk as the audio device inside the conferencing app, and speak normally while translation runs.
The company credits OpenAI’s realtime API and Meta’s Seamless models for the translation itself, and states that it runs on AWS. It is a member of the NVIDIA Inception programme.

- Google Meet
Strengths and drawbacks
Strengths
- Platform-independent by design: because it presents as an audio device, it does not need the conferencing vendor to support it
- A free tier exists, so the fit can be tested on real calls before paying
- Latency and language count are both published rather than left to a sales call
Drawbacks
- A desktop install plus a virtual audio driver is a heavier setup than a browser extension, and on managed laptops may need IT approval
- The jump from the free tier to the paid plan is large: 40 minutes a month to $499 a month, with nothing in between
- macOS and Windows only — there is no published Linux or mobile build
Limitations
Factual constraints reported by the provider or observed in its documentation, not an opinion on quality.
- Requires installing a virtual audio driver at the operating-system level
- Free tier is capped at 40 minutes of translation per month and 2 languages
- The Pro plan is capped at 20 hours of translation per month
- Published as version 1.0.0 at the time of this check
- Security and compliance claims (end-to-end encryption, SOC 2, GDPR, HIPAA) are the vendor’s own; AgentsForAnyTask has not audited them
Frequently asked questions
- Does Ztalk.ai work with Zoom and Google Meet?
- Yes. It installs a virtual audio device, which you then select as the microphone and speaker inside the conferencing app, so it works with tools that allow an audio device to be chosen — the vendor names Zoom and Google Meet.
- How many languages does it support?
- The vendor states more than 30 languages on paid plans. The free plan is limited to 2.
- Is there a free version?
- Yes. The Basic plan is free and includes 40 minutes of translation per month with 2 languages, which is enough to test it on real calls but not to run on them.
- Does it store recordings of my calls?
- The vendor states that no conversation data is stored and that processing happens in real time. That is their claim, checked on the date shown above and not independently verified by us.
- What does it cost?
- Free for the Basic plan, $499 per month for Pro, and custom pricing for Enterprise, as published on the vendor’s pricing section on the date shown above.
